Beginnings (sort of)

"Wake up! Wake up, Wil!"
I groan. Couldn't I sleep another hour? Just one more...
"GET UP!!!" my "adopted" sister yells in my ear. Actually, her parents adopted me, but that's not the point here.
"We need to go pick some flowers!" she says. Her name's Julia, by the way.
"Do I have to?" I groan. I'm tired. And I promised Liam I'd stop by and we would hang out.
"Mom said you have to," Julia grins. She knows about my plans. Typical younger sister. I go to the bathroom to change clothes and brush my teeth.
"Hurry up!" Julia yells outside the door.
"Fine!"

Just as we leave the house, I remember I didn't do my hair. Probably in a mess, I think.

"Wait," I tell Julia. I need to tell Liam hi.
"He's probably sleeping!" she says, and drags me with her.
