Ross and Gwen

As the dawn faded into the day and the morning turned to noon, the animals spread across the land to do whatever it is animals do, laguz set off into the forests to do whatever it is laguz do, and us humans, well, we do whatever it is we do! My name is Ross Durad. I used to lead a, well, I wouldn't actually call it normal. Something exciting happens every day of my life, ever since Gwen showed up. That was the strangest of them all, though. It all started when I was seven years old...

(Note: Gwen, your post will start in flashback form. You will explain how you feel, etc. Remember how you came out of that forest.)

OOC: I am taking over Gwen since she never comes on.

IC: My heart pounded quicker than my feet breaking the twigs. Tree branches caught on my dress and ripped it. By the time I saw light ahead of me, I was nearly stripped down to my undergarments. I don't remember why I was running. All I remember was that I was running away from something.

Finally, I caught sight of a light. My long journey through the forest was over! I heard a loud roar from behind me, and I ran faster that I had ever ran before. In a matter of seconds, I was out of the forest.

The light blinded me. I kept running. Whatever was chasing me might come after me out here, still. My eyes adjusted fairly quickly and I saw a village. My legs collapsed beneath me and I fell. My heart thudded. I couldn't take it anymore. I had been running for days without stopping. It felt good to be laying down. Still. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

"Oh, my!"

"See, mom! I told you! A girl!"

"Yes, you're right, Ross. But what is she doing here? Jonathan?"

"I have no clue, Risa. She looks exhausted."

"Mom! Look! She's covered in cuts! She's hurt! Can you heal her?"

"I think so, dear. But it won't work if she's dead..."

"That wasn't obvious..."

"Ross. There's no need to get sarcastic with me! Let's see if she's alive."

Voices. Nice voices. I couldn't beleive it. I was so glad to be in a place with such kindhearted people.

I opened my eyes to see a boy with short, spiky black hair. He stared blankly into my eyes. "Hey," he said. "Are you okay?"

I tried to stand up. "I..." was all I could say.

"Mom! She's alive! You have to heal her!"

I heard a whirring sound and all of a sudden, my pain was gone. I jumped up. I felt good as new.

"Whoa!" said the boy. "Are you sure you should be standing?"

I turned to face him. "Yes. Thanks to this kind lady," I said pointing towards a tall woman dressed in long, white garb holding a staff. "My wounds have healed. I'm much better now!"

The boy smiled, he held out his hand for me to shake. "I"m Ross." he said. I took his hand and shook it. "Gwen."

"My name is Risa," said the robed lady. My inferrence is that she is the town's healer. "I am Ross' mother. I run a clinic in the town for the ill and wounded." I inferred correctly.

I turned and saw a man in heavy armour. He had ruby red hair and a long beard. "I am Jonathan," he said. "I am the village leader. I run everything in the village."

"It's a pleasure to meet you all!" I said, smiling. These people were nice. I had a feeling I'd like them.

"Miss Gwen," said Risa. "If you don't mind me asking, what got you so injured?"

I shuddered. "I was running...from something...or someone...My memory..."I paused. "My memory is hazy. I was running in the forest for days on end, without stopping. Branches scratched my smooth, velvety skin, and the dirt stained my dress. My ribbon is in shreds. I am famished, parched, and very tired."

"Do you have a place to stay?" Ross asked.

"No." I said, hesitating. "I've...I've never been here before. I don't remember where my home is. In fact, I have complete amnesia. One day, I found myself running in the middle of the forest. I didn't remember my name, where I was from, or why I was running in the forest. Then, a single thought passed through my head. 'Gwen, you must run away to the nearest town!'"

"So, you're saying that you don't remember a thing?" Jonathan repeated, staring directly into my eyes.

"Yes." I answered.

"Risa," he said, not looking away from me. "Take the girl to your home. Treat her like you would Ross. Give her food, water, and bed. We shall make this small village of Rasod her new home."

I smiled. "Thank you, Sir Jonathan," I said, curtsying. I wanted to find out the origin about my past, but I figured it'd come to me eventually. For now, this town was a perfect place to stay.
